When not at work, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex and their three children, Celisse (born 2004), Brandon (born 2007) and new baby girl Amina (born 2011). She also enjoys attending church every Sunday and annually raising awareness for Autism by walking at the "Orlando Walk Now For Autism Speaks" in honor of her son Brandon who was diagnosed at age 2.
Erika joined Eola Eyes in July 2013 as an optical assistant. She has worked in the optical industry since 2004 and brings great experience and style to our team as she works with patients to select and fit their eyewear. She is from New York and moved to Orlando in 2008. Erika enjoys helping others, living an active and healthy lifestyle, and going to the beach on the weekends.
Jay is a licensed optician who joined Eola Eyes in December 2003. He has worked as an optician in the Orlando and Winter Park area for many years and has vast experience in fitting eyewear and edging lenses. Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio, area, he moved to Florida over twenty years ago. He enjoys finding the perfect frame for peoples’ lifestyles and face shapes and stays current with the latest frame styles and lens technology to provide our patients with the best products available.
Tara joined Eola Eyes in October 2012. She has worked in the optical field in the Orlando area for the past 11 years. Though you may see her in the optical, you will primarily see her assisting the doctors as their technician. In the past, Tara has volunteered at a local retirement home assisting the elderly with frame adjustments.
She is an active mom with two young boys, Kenneth (born 2005) and Clayton (born 2008). When not at Eola Eyes, Tara enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and cheering on her boys at their football and baseball games.
April joined Eola Eyes as a receptionist in February 2013 after moving to Orlando from Minnesota. Prior to working at Eola Eyes, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Mayo Clinic in the Transplant Center for five years. There she gained administrative and patient care experience and embraced the Mayo Clinic philosophy that "the needs of the patient come first," making her a great fit for Eola Eyes as well. April is currently taking college courses and plans to earn her degree from the University of Central Florida. When not at work or studying, she enjoys running, cooking, painting and traveling, and she loves our Florida beaches.
